When you encounter difficulties, remember that you are united in baptism to Jesus who has conquered sin and death. You are united to His cross, His victory and His resurrection. One with Christ, we are "overcomers."
Two things to make this more real:
1. Believe that Jesus loves you. Take hold of the life He offers you. The power is being given to us by the Holy Spirit so that we can always transcend, always overcome, always be of good cheer, and always take heart. Make St. Paul's words your own: "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me." (Galatians 2:20). 2. We can feel God's love through our brothers and sisters. They can support and encourage us in overcoming difficulties. If you don't have such a community yet, look for one.
